FAQs

THE DRIVE-IN MOVIE THEATRE
IN ST. AUSTELL, CORNWALL

Sunset Drive-In Movie Theatre takes pride in offering some of the best value entertainment in Cornwall. Whilst drive-in movies are common in the USA, Australia and South Africa, they are far rarer in the UK, so we understand you may have questions. Here are some of the most commonly asked questions:

Do I need to buy a ticket before the show?

We recommend purchasing your ticket online before arrival as events regularly sell out before the show date. If tickets are still available they will be made available to buy at the site entrance.

What happens if I can no longer attend?

We require one week's notice to change your ticket details either to a different vehicle (for example if you give or sell your tickets to someone else) or to change to another film screening (subject to availability). Please contact us here if you need to do this.

What happens if I arrive late?

Gates open early allow for time to find the right spot for you and settle in. We understand being on time can be difficult some days, If you do arrive late please be respectful to those already watching the film, unfortunately refunds will not be given if you are late and there are no spaces left.

Can I choose my parking spot?

Parking spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, and you cannot move your car until the end of the event.

Can I bring a campervan/RV on site?

Yes, but you will be positioned either to the side or rear of the lot so as not to block other customers' view. Overnight camping is not permitted on the site.

Will I have to wear a mask?

Masks are not required while you are in your vehicle, but must be worn to visit either the toilets or food stalls. For the safety of everyone, please do not attend if you, or any of your party, are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to the virus.

How will I hear the movie?

We provide bluetooth speakers for use in your vehicle. These are thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between showings.

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Of course! We have popcorn & snacks, as well as a burger/fish and chip van on site if you get peckish! Check out our menu here.

Are there toilets on site?

Yes, we have toilet cabins for customer use. Sorry, but at this point in time we do not have any toilets with disabled access.

Can I bring my dog/pet?

Yes, there is an area where dogs can be safely walked, but they must be kept on a lead.

Please note that if you fail to follow all guidelines on our website, or posted at the venue, we reserve the right to remove you or your party from the premises and/or ban you from future viewings.
